Afghan Black Hash
Afghan Black Hash is produced almost everywhere in and around Afghanistan. The best types of Hash come from the northern provinces between the Hindu Kush and the Russian border (Balkh, Mazar-i-Sharif).
The plants used for the production of Hash are very short and bushy Indicas. In Afghanistan, hashish is pressed by hand after adding a small amount of tea or water. The hashish is worked until it becomes very elastic and has a strong aromatic smell. In Afghanistan, the product is stored as Hash-Balls (because a round ball has the least contact with air), however, before shipping, the Hash is pressed into 100g slabs. The good qualities of Afghani are signed with the stem of the producing family.
